The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

DWI

  • William T. Childers, 34, of Cairo, Illinois, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated and careless and imprudent driving.

Arrests

  • A juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of property damage and unlawful use of a weapon at 531 S. Hanover St.
  • A juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of assault at 1000 S. Silver Springs Road.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of violation of an order of protection.

  • Burglary, theft and fraudulent use of a credit or debit device were reported at 1101 William St.

Thefts

  • A four-wheeler, dirt bike, furniture, tools, tires and rims were reported stolen at 1217 N. Water St.
  • Medication was reported stolen.
  • A Nintendo 3DS and RCA tablet were reported stolen at 1003 S. Pacific St.

Property damage

  • Property damage was reported at Hickory and South Ellis streets.

Miscellaneous

  • Unlawful use of a weapon was reported.
  • Fraudulent use of a credit or debit device was reported at 119 S. Hanover St.
