CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of domestic assault.
• Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of unlawful use of a weapon.
• Joel David Bland, 39, 1107 Hidden Valley Drive, was arrested on two Cape Girardeau warrants for suspended license and no proof of insurance.
• Gary Wayne Umphlett Jr., 28, 1040 Village Lane, was arrested on two Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear for seat belt violations.
• Suspect in custody pending formal charges of stealing at 270 Shirley Drive.

Summons

• Sammy G. Cobb, 19, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for property damage.

Thefts

• Personal documents were reported stolen at 2014 Sherwood Drive.
• A 2009 black Yamaha was reported stolen at 1713 David Street.

Burglary

• Burglary and theft of a walking cane and DVDs were reported at 401 S. Pacific Street.

Assault

• Assault was reported.
• Domestic assault was reported.

Miscellaneous

• Unlawful use of a weapon was reported.
• A 43-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
• A 27-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
• Counterfeit $20 bills were reported at Depot City, 1602 North Kingshighway.
