The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* An 8-year-old boy was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of an assault on school property.

* Kenneth M. Norwood, 27, homeless, was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for assault, disturbance and assault and failure to appear for a peace disturbance.

* Angel G. Schmidt, 37, 1052 Stewart Drive, was arrested on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine.

* A juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of shoplifting.

* A subject was in custody pending formal charges of driving with no license, no insurance and expired plates and forgery.

* Roger L. Clarke, 18, 1928 Delwin St., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for a probation violation.

Assault

* Domestic assault was reported.

Thefts

* A radar detector was reported stolen at 321 S. West End Blvd.

* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported fuel stolen.

* A GPS unit was reported stolen at 316 S. Louisiana Ave.

* Jewelry was reported stolen at 832 S. Kingshighway.

* Rhodes 101, 1126 N. Sprigg St., reported fuel stolen.

* Theft from a vehicle was reported at 1632 Good Hope St.

Miscellaneous

* A 68-year-old man was placed in protective custody.
