The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items Sunday. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of assault on a law-enforcement officer and resisting arrest at 2765 Hawthorne Road.
• Misty M. Hengst, no age given, of Perryville, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
• Haylee K. McAtee, no age given, of Perryville, Missouri, was arrested on suspicion of stealing at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Summonses

• Naif M. Gharni, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for striking a legally stopped vehicle at U.S. 61 and Route K.
• Donald E. Wilson, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for not having insurance and failing to drive in traffic lanes at Themis and Hazel streets.
• Oscar D. Moore of Okolona, Mississippi, was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right half of the road at southbound Route AB entrance on Interstate 55.
• Margaret G. Shelton of Jackson was issued a summons for following too closely at Siemers and Lambert drives.

Thefts

• Theft of hair barrettes was reported at Umpkins Beauty Supply, 415 Broadway.
• Shoplifting was reported at Ace Hardware, 1719 N. Kingshighway.
• Theft between $500 and $25,000 and fraudulent use of a debit or credit device were reported at 612 S. Sprigg St.
• Shoplifting was reported at Ace Hardware, 1719 N. Kingshighway.
• Theft was reported at 709 Broadway.

Miscellaneous

• A missing person was reported.
