The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of a violation of an order of protection.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of possession of a controlled substance, and distribution or intent to distribute marijuana.
• A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of tampering with physical evidence and distribution or intent to distribute marijuana.

Summonses

• Tyler R. Banks, 18, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for stealing at J.C. Penney, 3049 William St.
• A juvenile was issued a summons for stealing at J.C. Penney, 3049 William St.
• Alfrae D. Kroninger, 40, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for unlawful use of a weapon.

Assaults

• Assault was reported.

Thefts

• Stealing from a motor vehicle was reported at 2500 Allendale Drive.

Property damage

• A fire hydrant was reported damaged at South Sprigg and La Cruz streets.
• A window was reported damaged at 8 Village Drive.
• BNSF reported damage to a vehicle door lock at 289 Broadview St

Miscellaneous

• Request for service was reported and a juvenile was cited on North Main Street.
• A firearm was reported found.
• Violation of an order of protection was reported.
• A 54-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
• An animal bite was reported at 1011 N. West End Blvd.
• Peace disturbance was reported at 117 Themis St.
• Sexual misconduct was reported.
• Tampering with a motor vehicle was reported at 4700 Cords Way.
• Violation of an order of protection was reported.
• A 30-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
