The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

* Gary A. Proffer, 38, 1224 Jefferson Ave., was arrested on a Cape Girardeau warrant for failure to appear for revoked operator's license.

Summonses

* Tammy K. Messmer, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to yield right of way.

* Lisa A. Dazey, no age given, 848 Poppy Lane, was issued a summons for driving while suspended and striking a legally stopped vehicle.

* Robert B. Ervin, no age given, 221 Earleen Drive, was issued a summons for failure to stop at a stop sign.

* Bobby G. Knight, no age given, of Benton, Mo., was issued a summons for failure to yield.

Assault

* Assault, burglary, armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon were reported.

The Southeast Missouri State University Department of Public Safety at released the follow item:

* An HTC One X smartphone and a cellphone were reported stolen at the Recreation Center.
