Arrests

  • A juvenile was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of property damage.
  • Suspects were in custody pending formal charges of stealing at J.C. Penney, 3049 William St.
  • Jerry B. Gross, 33, 126 S. Lorimier St., was arrested on a warrant.

Summonses

  • John Whiteside, no age given, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for failure to drive on the right half of the road and failure to show proof of insurance.
  • Nichole L. Martin, 27, of Scott City was issued a summons for shoplighting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Eddie Chambers, 58, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for possession of marijuana, possesion of drug paraphernalia, failure to stop at a stop sign, driving while revoked, failure to display plates and no insurance.
  • Dereke Tipler, 32, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for false declaration.
  • Mallory Bearden, 19, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.
  • Jessica Sartain, 18, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Assault

  • Domestic assault and property damage were reported.

Burglary

  • Burglary and a damaged door frame were reported at 101 S. Louisiana Ave.

Thefts

  • Robbery was reported at 2406 William St.
  • Theft was reported at Wink's, 2017 Perryville Road.
  • Theft was reported at 319 Park St.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen at 1428 Whitener St.
  • A motor vehicle was reported stolen at Independence Street and East Rodney Drive.

Property damage

  • A city of Cape Girardeau vehicle was reported damaged at Bertling Street and Big Bend Road.

Miscellaneous

  • Fraudulent use of a credit or debit device was reported at Peddler's Corner, 111 N. Sprigg St.
  • Unlawful use of a weapon was reported at 2861 Themis St.

The Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Jennifer Niswonger, 32, of Scott City was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for probation violation through Scott County.
  • Veronica L. Schearf, 32, of Delta was arrested on Cape Girardeau County warrants for failure to appear for driving while revoked, failure to wear a safety belt, failure to secure a child, driving while revoked and a probation violation.
  • Terrelle T. Hulbert, 34, of Cape Girardeau was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for a probation violation.
  • Brock T. Reid, 25, of Scott City was arrested on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for a probation violation.
