The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Arrests

  • Nakema D. Ivy, 20, 540 S. Hanover St., was arrested at 1702 N. Main St. on a Cape Girardeau County warrant for failure to appear for a traffic offense.
  • A suspect was in custody pending formal charges of fraudulent use of a credit or debit device and receiving stolen property.
  • Steven L. McLaird, 51, 1203 Giboney St., was arrested at 2012 Montgomery St. on suspicion of resisting arrest.
  • Dana Gardner, 25, 422 Bellevue St., Apt. F, was arrested on two warrants for probation violation.
  • A 16-year-old girl was cited into juvenile court on suspicion of assault.

Summons

  • Lucas W. Young, 19, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for stealing a cellphone at Wal-Mart, 3439 William St.

Thefts

  • A black-and-green 2004 Honda was reported stolen at 19 S. Kingshighway.
  • A blue 50cc moped was reported stolen at 903 S. Sprigg St.

Property damage

  • A door was reported damaged at 433 S. Hanover St.
  • A door was reported damaged at 429 S. Hanover St.
  • A vehicle window was reported damaged at 105 Clark St.

Miscellaneous

  • A 63-year-old-woman was taken into protective custody.
  • Unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and littering were reported.
  • Forgery was reported.
