The Cape Girardeau Police Department released the following items. Arrests do not imply guilt.

Summonses

• William J. Smith, 35, of Cape Girardeau was issued summonses for animal leash law required and animal bite at 2769 Adeline Ave.
• Wayne E. Heckrotte, 65, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for animal leash law violation at 34 N. Park Ave.
• Benjamin L. Spiecker, no age given, of Jackson was issued a summons for failure to yield at Boutin Drive and Laport Street.
• Sallie L. Mollineaux, no age given, of Benton, Missouri, was issued a summons for failure to maintain a single lane at Lexington Avenue and U.S. 61.
• Rebekah Lauren Watkins, 21, of Cape Girardeau was issued a summons for possession of drug paraphernalia at Delwin Street and Lexington Avenue.

Assaults

• Domestic assault was reported.
• Domestic assault was reported.
• Third-degree domestic assault was reported at 12 N. Pindwood Lane.

Thefts

• Theft was reported at 1701 Lacey St.
• A blue Samsung Galaxy 6 valued at $650 was reported stolen at 3047 William St.

Property damage

• Damage to a door was reported at 800 W. Rodney Drive.
• Damage to a passenger vehicle valued at $1,000 was reported at Steak 'n' Shake, 3061 William St.
• Damage to a Ford F-150 valued at $500 was reported at East Rodney and Independence streets.

Miscellaneous

• A 54-year-old man was taken into protective custody.
• Endangering the welfare of a child was reported at 1923 Kingshighway.
• Making a false report was reported at 3039 William St.
