CAPE GIRARDEAU

The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Wednesday:

• Medical assist calls were made to Towers Circle at 3:04 a.m.; South Lorimier Street at 5:39 a.m.; East Cape Rock Drive at 10:37 a.m.; Linden Street at 11:31 a.m.; Linden Street at 4:20 p.m.; South Kingshighway at 6:37 p.m.; and Independence Street at 6:41 p.m.
• At 1:06 a.m., arcing shorted electrical equipment on Big Bend Road.
• At 10:17 a.m., outside rubbish, trash or waste fire on Hickory Street.
• At 11:18 a.m., alarm system sounding on Bloomfield Road.
• At 7:01 p.m., assist invalid on Belleridge Pike.
• At 11:28 p.m., detector activation, no fire, on Louis Street.
• Calls were made to South Benton Street at 6:25 a.m.; North Mount Auburn Road at 9:37 p.m.; and North Spring Street at 11:10 p.m.
