The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Wednesday:

• Medical assists were made at 9:07 a.m. on South Mount Auburn Road; 10:08 a.m. on Southern Expressway; 10:46 a.m. on William Street; and 3:36 p.m. on South Benton Street.
• Downed power lines were reported at 12:51 p.m. on Perryville Road; 12:55 p.m. on Bloomfield Road; 12:58 p.m. on Bloomfield Road; 1:04 p.m. on Big Bend Road; 1:13 p.m. on Good Hope Street; 1:16 p.m. on Themis Street; 2:41 p.m. on South Hanover Street; 2:53 p.m. on Oak Hills Drive; 3:09 p.m. on Bertling Street; and 4:37 p.m. on Camellia Drive.
• At 10:18 a.m., a smoke-detector activation on North Sprigg Street.
• At 12:43 p.m., a smoke-detector activation on Notre Dame Drive.
• At 12:55 p.m., an electrical wiring or equipment problem on Autumn Drive.
• At 12:56 p.m., an electrical wiring or equipment problem on North Fountain Street.
• At 1:25 p.m., public service on Camellia Drive.
• At 2:48 p.m., assist police or other governmental agency.
• At 5:15 p.m., a call was dispatched and canceled en route to Grandview Drive.
• At 6:04 p.m., a smoke-detector activation, no fire, on Wood Hollow Court.
• At 6:34 p.m., a wind storm on Perryville Road.
• At 6:39 p.m., a motor-vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 55.
• At 7:33 p.m., an outside rubbish, trash or waste fire on South Ranney Avenue.
• At 9:07 p.m., assist invalid on Oak Hills Drive.
• At 11:05 p.m., a call on Vickie Street.
