The Cape Girardeau Fire Department responded to the following calls Wednesday:

• Medical assists were made at 1:58 a.m. on Boxwood Drive; 5:07 a.m. on South Ellis Street; 6:39 a.m. on North Silver Springs Road; 1:08 p.m. on South West End Boulevard; 2:15 p.m. on Linden Street; 3:14 p.m. on North Sprigg Street; 5:58 p.m. on Centennial Drive; and11:40 p.m. on Northchurch Street.
• At 1:17 a.m., an electrical wiring or equipment problem on South Lorimier Street.
• At 8:06 a.m., a motor-vehicle accident with injuries on Interstate 55.
• At 2:56 p.m., emergency medical service on South West End Boulevard.
• At 3:09 p.m., a false alarm or false call on Themis Street.
• At 3:43 p.m., a detector activation, no fire, on Blattner Drive.
• At 5:01 p.m., a call on Good Hope Street.
• At 5:51 p.m., emergency medical service on South Sprigg Street.
• At 6 p.m., a call on Broadway.
• At 8:38 p.m., an oil or other combustible liquid spill on South Sprigg Street.
• At 9:02 p.m., a call on Bloomfield Road.
