  • At 5:28 p.m., a smoke or odor investigation on Linden Street.
  • At 6:31 p.m., a motor vehicle accident on Shirley Drive.
  • At 9:50 p.m., heat from a short circuit on Whitener Street.

Firefighters responded to the following calls Wednesday:

  • Medical assist calls were made at 2:47 a.m. on Themis Street; 5:19 a.m. on Boxwood Drive; 9:48 a.m. on South Kingshighway; 11:04 a.m. on North Main Street; 11:09 a.m. on William Street; 3:08 p.m. on Independence Street; and 4:27 p.m. on Whitener Street.
  • At 12:05 a.m., a passenger vehicle fire on Interstate 55.
  • At 9:04 a.m., a dispatched call canceled en route to Albert Street.
  • At 11:59 a.m., a good-intent call on North Sunset Boulevard.
  • At 1:55 p.m., a smoke scare and odor of smoke on Yorktown Drive.
