Benton motorist receives ticket following accident

OXLY, Mo. -- A Benton, Mo., man was ticketed after being injured at 5:55 p.m. Tuesday in a one-car accident in Ripley County near Oxly. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when a 1998 Dodge driven by Timothy Ainley, 40, ran off the left side of Highway 142 and struck a mailbox, culvert and several trees. Ainley was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. He was issued tickets for driving while intoxicated, driving under revocation and careless and imprudent driving.
