Weather or Not
In this blog, weather junkies on the Southeast Missourian staff talk about (what else?) the weather. Give us your observations, folk wisdom and Farmers Almanac tales -- it's a weather free for all.
Two more cold nights, then spring finally arrives

After a forecast low of 30°F tonight at Cape Girardeau, the temperature may drop to 28°F tomorrow night. That would threaten the record low temperature for April 2nd -- 27°F -- set in 1961.
Luckily the weather system that was poised to bring frozen precipitation tonight and tomorrow night has totally fizzled.
The 6-10 and 8-14 day long range forecasts are now showing a dramatic pattern shift, with above-average temperatures on the horizon.
We should reach the 60s by Friday and the 70s by the weekend. Hopefully I won't have to post any more snow accumulation graphics until next winter.
