JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. --HB's 190, 377, 380, 381, 578, 1023, and 1077 sponsored by Rep. Kathryn Swan, (R-Cape Girardeau) made advances in the legislative process this week.
HB 190 - Women's Healthcare Protection Act was placed on the Senate calendar.
HB 377 - Remedial Education for High School Students was presented in the Senate Education Committee
HB 380 - Career and Technology Education Certificate passed out of the Senate Education Committee
HB 381 and 405 - High School Equivalency Testing-was presented in the Senate Education Committee
HB 578,574 and 584 - Missouri Civics Initiative Act-passed out of Senate Education Committee and placed on Senate Calendar
HB 1023 - School Quality Indicators - Third Read and Passed in House
HB 1077 - Pain Management Clinic (Pill Mill) Regulation - Unanimously Passed in House Health and Mental Health Policy Committee
In addition, Swan was the House handler for SB 172, sponsored by Sen Gary Romine (R-Farmington) that was Successfully Third Read and Passed in the House today. SB 172 is the Senate version of the Career and Technology Education certificate bill.
