Rep. Kathryn Swan recently assigned to Professional Registration & Licensing and Interim Bipartisan Investigative Committee on State Department Workplace Abuse
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- Rep. Kathryn Swan, R-Cape Girardeau, has been named as a member of the Interim Bipartisan Investigative Committee on State Department Workplace Abuse and to Professional Registration and Licensing.
Speaker Jones appointed Swan to the standing committee, Professional Registration and Licensing on December 6, 2013. The committee deals with matters relating to the licensing of professionals and consumer protection issues. Swan's background in the nursing profession brings an understanding of the important role of licensure in our state.
"I am pleased the Speaker has entrusted me with this tremendous responsibility," said Swan. "There are numerous highly qualified representatives capable of administering this membership and to be chosen is truly a great honor."
