Fornfelt students go on strike
The students of Fornfelt High School held their principal, L.L. Schuette, in the highest regard.
In the spring of 1941, they proved their fondness for Schuette, who also served as the school's athletic director and social science instructor. When the Fornfelt Board of Education decided not to re-hire Schuette for the coming term, his students took action, going on strike until the board changed its mind.
Here's the Missourian's coverage of the event.

The Missourian archive fails to provide any other information about Schuette. We're left to wonder how long he remained principal/instructor/athletic director at Fornfelt High School.
Perhaps someone who attended Fornfelt High will fill us in on Schuette's fate.
