Who doesn't like an animal tale?

On the premise that everyone enjoys a good animal story now and then, I've compiled a few that I find humorous.
Hopefully, it will break up the monotony of the day.
My first offering is a curious tale about alligators. It was published in the Missourian on June 13, 1923:
Needless to say, the city didn't take Wilson up on his most generous offer. Can you imagine alligators living in Capaha Park lagoon?
Next is a Jan. 2, 1930, story about accommodating a herd of dairy cows:
Rounding out this blog are a couple of squirrel tales. This one was published Jan. 12, 1935, but appeared in the news columns, not the sports page.
