Under direction of a Chamber of Commerce committee, in cooperation with the Department of Public Works, new informational signs were made and have been installed in the city. Looking over a bracket of them at Sprigg and Broadway are Leo Miller and Alva Smiddy of the public works department, at the top, and John Eldridge, public works superintendent; Larry Haertling, chairman of the chamber's publicity committee, and Joe W. Smith, chairman of the sign committee. (Southeast Missourian photo)
