Ozark Air Lines arrives

Posted Wednesday, November 7, 2012, at 12:00 AM

The arrival of Ozark Air Lines is seen from the waiting room at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Airport in this undated photo by G.D. Fronabarger.

Ozark Air Lines began service to Cape Girardeau in 1951.

In 1986, Trans World Airlines merged with Ozark Air Lines.

In this previous blog, passengers board Ozark Air Lines at the airport. A story from Jan. 8, 1951 reports the new airliner service.

  • I remember the joke around Cape was that you could call Ozark to ask when the next flight was leaving for St. Louis and get the answer, "When can you make it?"
