Midweek Mystery: Phone Booth at Capaha Park

Posted Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 7:30 AM

A man is standing next to a telephone booth at Capaha Park. Frony shot the picture, but we don't know why. The car appears to be from the 1940s.

  • Looks like the guy is checking his email from a remote hotspot, maybe he is trying to send a message...

Does that car have suicide doors?

  • Are you sure that is Capaha Park?

  • The car is a Plymouth and appears to be a 46-48 model. All 4 door Plymouths during these years DID have suicide doors

  • I dunno, but from what I've learned about "One-Shot Frony" in the last few-years is that he didn't NEED a reason, maybe? A "spur-of-the-moment" photographer---the BEST-kind!

Kinda like a Norman Rockwell with a camera, instead of a paint-brush?

  • May I guess?

The phone booth had just been installed and the caption was; "Why send a letter that takes a week when you can send your message immediately via phone".
