Countdown to Delivery
The Jaycees are working hard at the peak of their annual Christmas projects, Toybox and Christmas for the Elderly. With over 350 families in need of toys for the holiday and over 35 elderly seeking assistance, Santa's "elves" are busy at work!
With just shy of two weeks left in the Toybox Drive and the Christmas for the Elderly project heading closer to delivery date, we are looking to the community to help us wrap up another successful year.
When asked about participation in Christmas for the Elderly, many of our clients noted that they would appreciate the support but understand that there are many others who could use help this time of the year. Always thinking of others, even during their struggle to meet their own basic needs, they mentioned those whose lives have been turned upside down with recent weather disasters. These kind and considerate individuals need our support. Current needs for the Elderly include diabetic socks, gift cards to John's Pharmacy, Aldi's, and Walmart, cleaning supplies, detergent and dishwashing soap and detergent. Additionally we have requests for a 4XL camouflage coat, a portable DVD player, men's gloves, Halle Berry perfume, diabetic foods (pies and cookies), tea, and bread mixes for a bread maker.
We appreciate your support! The holiday is around the corner and our countdown to delivery is sneaking up on us! Please consider giving to the Jaycee Projects today!
