Delivery Night Closing In...
In our last full week of collections for the Toybox Project and Christmas for the Elderly, the Cape Jaycees are busying working to fill the Christmas lists of the young and old of the Cape Girardeau Community. With applications up 14%, donations have been trickling in but we have not collected enough to cover the expense of all of our needs. If you have not already participated in the efforts, please consider adding these Christmas traditions to your holiday to-do list!
Families struggling with unemployment, tragedy in the loss of loved ones or devestation to their homes, illness, and other financial struggles need assistance to bring joy to their little ones during this season. Elderly with no family, little income, and excessive health burdens, physical, mental, and financial, hope to have the most basic of needs in their stockings.
To help, please bring monetary, toy, or other donations to the SEMissourian or drop them off at various participating businesses across town. (For a full listing, please see the ad in the Southeast Missourian or on my blog at semissourian.com.) Financial assistance may also be mailed to Cape Jaycees PO Box 4, Cape Girardeau, MO 63702
