Everyone is so familiar with such award shows as The Golden Globes, The Oscars, The People's Choice, MTV Awards, The Grammys and THE ABBOTT AWARDS. So some of you ask, The Abbott Awards. What are those? They are the annual awards that are given to actors, directors, co- directors, behind the scenes people and others that have been involved in a Season with River City Players. We hold this Awards ceremony in January following the close of a season. This past Saturday evening on the 15th was our Awards for the 2010 Season. The theme this year was "It was a Jewel of a Year." The tables were decorated with all kinds of jewels, rings, necklaces, bracelets, and show programs from each of our four shows of the 2010 Season. Everyone is so excited from the minute they reach the top of the stairs at Port Cape which is our home for all of our productions. Social hour, hors d' oeuvre and then the AWARDS! Everyone is on the edge of their chair waiting to hear whose name is called. Here is the list of winners for the 2010 Season.
