Today I would like to introduce you to Tim Roth. Tim is a woodcarver. But don't look for his work on a store shelf. He only works on custom signs and gifts. Aside from woodcarving, he also does remodeling, engraving and is an expert jewelry maker. Tim has been doing artistic things since he was a kid. His carved wooden signs hang and stand all over town. He carved the eyeglassses at the Rhea Optical on Broadway. The carved waves on the Red House sign and a map inside with caricatures are his handiwork. But sign making is not a full time business. He also creates the sets for River City Players' Community Theatre productions at Port Cape each year. Tim has created everything from a three room set, to a boat dock, launching out into the audience, to a court room, and a log cabin with beams running across the ceiling. His visions are those of taking something and using it in a novel way. Tim likes the different and unusual and will bring that to a project. River City Players is very fortunate to have Tim. He never fails to amaze us when we see a new set that he has just completed. The detail he puts in each and everyone truly make the actors and audience feel as if they are there. Here is a HUGE thank you Mr. Tim Roth for all that you do for RCP.
