Sunday is for Animals (and Cars)
I have been on a very busy stay-cation for two weeks. Wow. Remember Sprinkles from the previous entry? I took her to meet her new owners half-way to Springfield, IL this past Sunday. They had the back seat padded with a water bowl ready for her. Sprinkles found a good home for a great dog.
This Sunday, come one and all to Cruisin' for Pet Adoptions between Petco and Sonic in the parking lot. Multiple animal adoption groups will be there including Silverwalk with our Boot Healers graduates, Stella Beagle and Phoebe. Hot rods and antique cars, too; I'm still sorry i missed the electric autocross - love autocross racing. But hey, here is an event with dogs and cars! Oh, be still my heart!
Several new dogs have arrived: Chloe Beagle, Mami JRT/Beagle mix, Layla Beagle; tomorrow, I meet Luann in Osceola, AR to pick up Walter Scott, a senior black and tan Coonhound whose ACO (animal control officer) is head over heels about; he has held him a long time.
When you visit on Sunday - hey, cool, clear, sunny weather is forecast by our crack weather team at KFVS - please consider volunteering for any of the rescue groups. At Silverwalk, dog walkers are most needed. I can do the cleaning and the laundry but getting dogs out and socialized with various people is crucial to their finding homes - and yes, our animals need homes and we will help you adopt a dog any way we can! Thank you - and have a GREAT weekend. See you cruising on Sunday!
