Deep memories remain of former Trinity Lutheran

To the editor:

Never to weaken or be erased from my heart is the picture of our former Trinity Lutheran Church at 100 N. Frederick that was torn down and replaced by our present church.

I still cling to the beauty of its interior. My thoughts lead me to the warmth that was different and deeper from that of our present church.

I respect the deep religious atmosphere of former years using only Scripture from the King James Version of the Bible.

Memories lie deep in my heart of the interior of our former church as compared to our present church. Picture, if you will, the beautiful cluster of lights gracefully hanging from our high ceiling, adding elegance and beauty, let alone dignity, and often gently swaying from a movement of air.

Upon entering Trinity today, no longer is one greeted with a beautiful and meaningful picture of Christ on an altar. Many churches today feature a picture of Christ on the altar, suggesting his presence.

Am I alone in thinking as I do? I don't think so.
