Road repairs began to Perry Avenue on Tuesday in Cape

ABOVE: Workers begin road repairs to Perry Avenue between New Madrid and Dunklin streets on Tuesday. The Cape Girardeau Public Works Department will be repairing and replacing concrete slabs between Broadway and Mississippi Street for the next three weeks. While work is being done, northbound traffic will be detoured from Pemiscot Street to Mississippi Street, and run on Missouri Avenue. Dunklin and New Madrid streets will be closed at Perry Avenue to westbound vehicles, which will be detoured to Mississippi Street. Eastbound traffic on Dunklin and New Madrid streets will be able to make a right turn only going south on Perry Avenue, and motorists will need to follow a detour on Missouri Avenue to go north.
