Spelling Bee Winners from Cape Christian School

Cape Christian School would like to recognize the six students who represented CCS at the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) District Spelling Bee in St. Louis, Missouri in January 2011. Pictured with Mrs. Jalon Lies -- CCS Principal are the First Place class winners from each of the upper six grades (Third through Eighth) at Cape Christian School. Front Row from left are: Justin Samanta -- 3rd Grade, Clayton Deimund -- 4th Grade. Back row from left: Jade Samanta -- 5th Grade, Caroline Rollins -- 6th Grade, Mrs. Jalon Lies -- CCS Principal, Sean Poston -- 8th Grade, and Megan Westcott -- 7th Grade. Three of our students won placements in their grade levels at the ACSI District Spelling Bee; Justin Samanta won First Place in the 3rd Grade Level; Jade Samanta won First Place in the 5th Grade Level; and Sean Poston won 4th place in the 8th Grade Level. Special congratulations go to Jade Samanta who went on to win First Place Overall at the ACSI District Spelling Bee. As the First Place Overall Winner from the District level, he will represent Cape Christian School at the Regional Spelling Bee this summer in Dallas, Texas. If he wins there, he will go on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C. We are so proud of all of our class room, and district level winners.
