Bashin Trash and Cape Friends of the Parks Day bring people out clean up Cape
Sunday, April 25, 2010
April 17 was full of people doing good for the environment in Cape Girardeau. Two city events, Bashin Trash and Cape Friends of the Parks Day, brought people out of their routine weekend chores and into the parks, streets and streams in Cape Girardeau to clean up. The Missouri Department of Conservation reported 71 people helped at the Bashin Trash event. They picked up 61 bags of trash this year. Individuals and groups like Girl Scout Troop 50336, Alpha Phi Omega, members of First Presbyterian Church and Modern Woodman of America Youth helped in the events.
