The students at the Perryville Elementary School have been working since the beginning of the school year to collect aluminum soda tabs to help fund improvements to their playground equipment. The students filled the 55 gallon barrel with 176 pounds of aluminum tabs, netting them $88 to put toward new playground equipment and improvements. Shown with the tabs are elementary students (from left) Libbie Geralds, Hunter Roberts, Doniven Arnold, Serenity Matteson and Mattison Bowyer. (Photo by L. Boxdorfer, Perry County School Dist.
