Letter to the Editor

Cosby's criticism was on the mark

To the editor:

Bill Cosby spoke words that were sharp and to the point and sparked a great amount of criticism as well as praise. He laid it on the line.

Cosby was critical of speech, family, child-rearing and clothing. No solution could be better than what he proposed.

Bluntly, Cosby blamed parents for failing to rear their children. He put emphasis on language.

Offensive, vulgar and indecent apparel is becoming noticeable each time a designer produces new clothing.

A great deal of praise and credit is due Bill Cosby for openly expressing what has been long overdue. Perhaps now the 11-year-old girl from Redmond, Wash., who has become disheartened with current fashions will succeed in promoting a complete new style of dress and once again return to modesty and decency.

I bet that will suit the male gender. They like surprises, and they sure aren't getting any now.
