Most Americans believe president

To the editor:

Jennifer St.Clair is stunned about what Americans believe. Most Americans believe their president. They agree with his argument that Iraq certainly spawned a breeding ground for terrorism. We now know that the scandalous U.N. oil-for-food program was a source for terrorist financing. Given Saddam Hussein's proven dedication to deception and violence, how can there yet be any doubt about Iraq's contribution to the terrorist movement?

The well-worn weapons of mass destruction argument has been beaten to death. We know hundreds of activities prohibited by U.N. Resolution 1441 were discovered in Iraq. There were 17 U.N. resolutions that threatened serious consequences, and Iraq violated all of them.

If the American people decide to re-elect President Bush, it will happen because they are very informed. It won't be because some union boss demanded them to, or some minority elite convinced them otherwise, or those speaking for the elderly scared them into it. It will be because they understand the threat of terrorism to their children and believe Bush is the strongest leader positioned to deal with it.
