Community backs matching funds

The Community Caring Council greatly appreciates the coverage and support from the Southeast Missourian regarding our successful application for grant funds from HUD and from the Missouri Housing Trust Fund. One thing that attracted HUD to our proposal was the amount of local funds committed to support this grant. The grant requires a dollar for dollar local match for funds requested. Our grant application had almost twice the amount of HUD dollars requested committed by local agencies and service providers thorough provision of services to the consumers we will serve. This is just another example of how Cape Girardeau continues to collaborate for the good of its residents.
