Letter to the Editor

No pass for the ordinary people

To the editor:Last week I did something awful, something I am ashamed of, something I regret. Actually, what I did wasn't so awful in my mind, but someone else found out about it, so now I'm really sorry I did it. What I wish I could do now is appear on "The View" or with Dr. Phil, so that I could be absolved of any wrongdoing, just like Pat O'Brien and Alec Baldwin have done. This would allow me to keep my integrity, not to mention my job, and I'm more than willing to be humiliated in order to continue to reap that wonderful showbiz harvest. Oh, sorry, I'm just a regular person, not a celebrity, so there's no reward for admitting I'm a slug.
