Will sale improve taxi-service options?

To the editor:

In regard to the sale of Kelley Transportation Co.'s so-called taxi service here in Cape Girardeau, I feel that the elderly and disabled will once more be put at a disadvantage. Having to ride with anyone else in a cab does not a cab make. In a decent-sized city, that option is left up to the rider, not the cab company.

So if Kelley's is sold, will a correction be made in this department? Or will everyone just have to suffer? And what about people who cannot be picked up from a main street?
