Kids at party didn't use common sense

To the editor:

Regarding the party where a can of gasoline was thrown on a bonfire: These kids should have the common sense to know that gas is flammable. They should know that if you play with fire you are going to get burned. As for throwing shotgun shells into the fire, why would they do that? It's just stupid. Gasoline and shotgun shells will hurt you, if not kill you. I understand that some of these kids had beer. But the real question is: Do the kids of this generation have any sense at all? And why aren't they using it?
