Positive story may encourage more good deeds

To the editor:

In response to the article "Jackson students get unexpected response from soldiers": What a nice surprise to see our granddaughter, Chelsea Olson, on the front page of the newspaper. She is in the seventh grade at Jackson Middle School and involved in the pamphlets sent to the servicemen in Saudi Arabia. This was a very good write-up for the students, and I'm sure this will encourage them to do more in this line. Thanks also goes to their thoughtful teacher, Tammy Brotherton.
