Illinois plan could ramp up gambling competition

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) -- Illinois, desperate for relief from its budget woes, is considering a massive casino expansion including one in Chicago that could leave neighboring states playing for smaller stakes and even squeeze out some competition from within.
