Show Me Center needs support for its offerings

In response to the letter to the editor "Certain events are meant to be held outdoors":

I disagree with the comment that monster truck shows and rodeos should not be held in the Show Me Center. It is very rarely that the people of Southeast Missouri have such a big event come to the area, and these are two of the most popular events held in the Show Me Center. Perhaps if more people would attend these events, the Show Me Center could afford to bring good concerts and other shows to the area as well. That's what the Show Me Center needs to do, not limit their activities. The more money it gets overall means that maybe some day we'll actually get another Kenny Chesney or other current concert. I'm interested to see if the Styx concert is as much of a flop as the one-hit wonder of Smash Mouth was last April. From what I heard, only 500 people showed up. Now that's a waste of taxpayer money.
