They pay most - Who do they think they are?

To the editor:

I dislike rich people. Who do they think they are? Just because they directly or indirectly pay for every tax in existence, why should they feel they should have a tax cut like everyone else? Just because I depend on rich investors who own the company I work for to provide me a means to support my family and my tax obligations, why should they expect tax relief? Just because the roads I drive on, schools I send my children to, police and fire protection I depend on and the security of the nation depend on taxing rich people?

Why should rich people resent it when excluded from tax relief? All they would probably do with it would be to invest in more companies and hire more people who would in turn have to pay taxes. Who do they think they are when, despite their heavy tax burden, they still buy luxury cars, expensive planes, houses and companies that employ the rest of us? Who do they think they are to want their heirs to receive their wealth when they die? When a rich man recently won the lottery, who did he think he was to hire back his laid-off employees and tithe to the three churches of his choice? Who do they think they are? Most of all I dislike rich people because I'm not one of them.
