Bob King's music will last forever in heavenly home

To the editor:

With each passing year, I am saddened by the loss of dear friends with whom I have shared my great love for music.

Bob King was at the top of the list of these dear friends, as was his wife, Geneva. I played lead guitar on stage with Bob many a weekend while crowds enjoyed his talent on the violin as he played a beautiful waltz.

My first memory of the three of us playing music was a practice session we had in Bob's home -- Bob with his fiddle, Geneva on the piano and I with my guitar. We were playing "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." We each took turns playing the melody, and we were enjoying ourselves so much we did not want the song to end.

I and many others will miss Bob, who performed his music with such a passion. Nevertheless, I am filled with joy knowing that Bob is now living that song, "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." This time the song will never end.
