POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Cloit W. Lee, 81, of Poplar Bluff died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2003, at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff.
He was born Nov. 12, 1921, at Biggers, Ark., son of Benjamin Franklin and Iva Caliver Lee. He and Jane A. Dornin were married Nov. 10, 1952, at East St. Louis, Ill.
He served 20 years in the Air Force and retired in 1962. He served overseas twice during World War II, in the South Pacific and also for a year in Iceland. After retiring from the service, he owned and operated Lee's Barber Shop from 1964 until 1999. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Phil Pisciotta of Forsyth, Mo., Thomas and Jerry Lee, both of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Gloria Lee Dobbs of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Ilene Robinson and Genavie Schumer, both of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff at 6 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ted Elledge officiating. Burial with full military rites will be in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
