PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Willette R. Ponder Meyer, 80, of Perry County died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2002, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 21, 1922, in Perry County, daughter of Joseph and Theresa Buchheit Ponder. She and Adolph A. Meyer were married Sept. 5, 1949. He died May 27, 1998.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Apple Creek, Mo., and Ladies of St. Joseph VFW Auxiliary in Perryville.
Survivors include a son, Paul Meyer of Perryville; four daughters, Mary Zoellner of Friedheim, Mo., Eileen Alkemeyer of Bartlesville, Okla., Karen Kohlfeld of Perryville and Linda Martin of Fruitland; three sisters, Rowena Meyer of Uniontown, Mo., Geraldine Farrar of Cape Girardeau and Eugenia Crump of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Visitation will be from 3 to 9 p.m. today at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville, with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. A second visitation will be from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Joseph Church in Apple Creek with the Rev. Mark Bozada officiating. Burial will be in St. Michaels Cemetery in Apple Creek.
