Singing for someone else's supper

The Barefoot Youth Band from Father's Arms Fellowship performed at a community Thanksgiving service sponsored by the Scott City Ministerial Alliance Tuesday night. Other participants included the following Scott City churches: Broadway United Methodist Church choir, Leah Fisher from Wesleyan Church, New Life Gospel Center singers, Kelsi Grant from First Assembly of God Church, Scott City Elementary School principal Carol Blanton and the Scott City High School choir under the direction of Jim Arnold. The Rev. Dennis Bell of Illmo Baptist Church gave the devotion. Pastors Ken Strong of Father's Arms Fellowship, Larry Rouse of First General Baptist Church, Randy Morse of First Assembly of God Church, Joe Hudson of Wesleyan Church and Larry Lawman of Broadway United Methodist Church all sang Amazing Grace. Fellowship and refreshments followed the service which 155 people attended. A total of $430 was collected to support the Scott City Food Pantry.
