MORLEY, Mo. -- The funeral for Lucille Emerson of Morley will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church. The Revs. Jim Matthews and Delbert Bishop will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Mo., after 5 p.m. Sunday.
Emerson, 79, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Nov. 7, 1922, in Corning, Ark., daughter of William and Liza Tyree Isaacs. She and Raymond Emerson Jr. were married June 14, 1941. He died Dec. 21, 1996.
Emerson retired as a machine operator at the former International Hat Factory in Oran. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Jim Emerson of Chaffee, Mo., Bradley Emerson of Kennett, Mo.; six daughters, Florence Emerson of Chaffee, Ginny Grant and Brenda Schwepker of Morley, Glenda Emerson of Scott City, Cheryl Young of Stuttgart, Germany, Kay Huckstep of Jackson; 27 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, a sister, and a great-granddaughter.
