50th reunion renews old ties -- maybe for last time

To the editor:

Having attended Central High School's 1952 class reunion recently, I was so grateful for the experience and the opportunity to renew those special friendships from our salad days. Those who planned the reunion deserve all of our classmates' appreciation and thanks for a job well done.

The only regret for my 50th is that, for the most part, I probably will never see many of these friends ever again. However, the joy of seeing and talking to them even for the last time will remain with me always.

There are undoubtedly many former high school graduates who, for whatever reason, decline to attend their school's reunion. Whatever the reason, make every effort to do so. It's well worth it.
