Leslie Rae McKenzie, 42, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2002, at St. Francis Medical Center, following an automobile accident on Mount Auburn Road.
She was born Jan. 12, 1960, in Canandaigua, N.Y., daughter of Donald A. and Frances T. Taylor Miles. She and Michael McIntosh were married June 12, 1976, at Chaffee, Mo. She later married Bruce McKenzie June 10, 1996, in Cape Girardeau.
Leslie received a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Southeast Missouri State University. She was an RN3 at Missouri Veterans Home, and was previously a registered nurse at the Lutheran Home. She was a member of Bethel Assembly of God Church and its choir.
Survivors include her father, Don Miles of Rice, Minn.; mother and stepfather, Frances and Doyle Henson of Marble Hill, Mo.; a brother, Mark W. Miles of Marble Hill; her husband, Bruce McKenzie of Cape Girardeau; three sons, Joshua, Jacob and Caleb McIntosh of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Charlene Burke of Cape Girardeau; four stepsons, William McKenzie of Cape Girardeau, Darren McIntosh of Oran, Mo., Nathan and Shannon McIntosh of Cape Girardeau; a special friend, Roger Cotner of Jackson, Mo.; and two stepgrandsons.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Stan Hargis officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
