CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Dorothy Marie Jackson, 86, of Charleston died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Nov. 28, 1915, at Wyatt, Mo., daughter of Albert and Bertha Mason Fields. She and Elbert "Ike" Jackson were married Jan. 28, 1939. He died Feb. 8, 1984.
Jackson lived in Mississippi and Scott counties most of her life. She retired from Brown Shoe Co. in Charleston, and was a member of Cornerstone Church at Bertrand, Mo.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Goering of Charleston, Faye McConnell of Sikeston; a sister, Virginia Kimble of East Prairie, Mo.; and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a grandson.
Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Cullen officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
